Daddy and Boston's special weekend
While me, Bry and Carter were in Vegas, Ben and Boston had a fun weekend together. Since Boston LOVES dinosaurs they decided to go to the Dinosaur Park on Friday.
How cute!!!

Halibut, Kings, & Rainbows
Of course I'm talking about fish! In July Ben went to Alaska with his Dad and brother's for their 3rd annual trip to work on Kel's cabin. By the looks of these pictures I can tell it must of been a lot of work!
Ben, Kel, Chris, Nick and I think his name is Dustin (not related) and their halibut.

My BoYs!
Look at these two cute boys! Boston is such a good big brother and Carter just loves all of his siblings, but I have a feeling these two are going to be best buddies! It's been really fun to have them all to myself when Brylee is at school. But Boston sure misses her though, he said to me today "lets go get sissy from school Mommy", and I said "do you miss her buddy" and he said "uh-huh!", how cute! I guess I'm not as entertaining but I of course already knew that!!
Logan helped me can some blueberry jam. He's a great helper in the kitchen and will be a great husband one day! Logan is loving Jr. High and has already went to a volleyball game and a dance, of course he was way to shy to dance (thank goodness)!

my little preschooler
Today way Brylee's first day of preschool. She was SOOO excited! Here she is at her school.

She set her outfit and backpack out last night so it would be ready. And as you can see from pictures the shirt that she actually wore is different, that's Bry for ya!
I can't believe that she is old enough to go to school, it seems like yesterday that she was a baby. Last night Ben gave her a father's blessing, she felt pretty special. When she was getting ready for school this morning I asked her if she was nervous and she said "no, and because Daddy gave me a blessing I won't be shy". What a SWEET girl!!! And when we got to preschool she didn't hesitate to go in at all, and her teacher said she did really good. Oh Brylee I love you more than you will ever know, and I just know you'll do great! Love you!!

Labor Day Weekend
We went to soapstone to ride bikes all weekend and it was a BLAST! We all has sooo much fun this year. Here is all of us!
The kids LOVED riding the 4-wheelers. Boston wore his helmet almost the whole time we were camping and if we took it away from him he threw a huge fit. Which is the reason for the not so cute face in the picture!
It rained Saturday afternoon but other than that it was nice. Here's our cozy little camp.

Warming up by the roasty fire.

Our kids just love their Uncle Nick!

Grandpa Pumkinhead and Aunt Kim coloring with Boston and Bry.

The kids trying to help blow up balloons so we could shoot targets. I just love their faces, you can tell they're giving it their all!

salsa & pickles
This past week I've managed to accomplish quite a bit thanks to our media fast. I did a bunch of things that I had been meaning to do for a while and I even canned my first batch of salsa and pickles. This week our media fast has finally come to an end. We've all struggled with it at different times but we all realized how much time we spend watching tv and getting on the internet. It has also helped us to become even closer as a family. It's even inspired me to shut our cable off, I can't let go of the internet just yet! I actually really enjoyed knowing that my family's faces wouldn't be stuck in the tv or on the computer every night that we would get to hear about each others day. I did worry too about the kids being naughty because they were bored, and that they would complain about no tv. But they were SOOO good the whole week and got along better. I think it's a great idea to do this to get your family back on track and I will definitely do it again!

media fast and an update
We've decided as a family we want to do a media fast. It's going to be hard for me to be away from the computer because I feel like some days it's my only link to the outside world. But I REALLY do think that our family needs this and that it will bring us closer together.
Look at these cute munchkins in their Sunday best. Logan is a deacon now and can pass the sacrament and I am SO proud of him! And I am sadly done nursing Carter, I've loved the special bond with him and how long I've been able to do it. But unfortunately he has 6 teeth already and has made it so miserable for me to nurse. He's doing actually quite well on a bottle and I am feeling sooo much better!

Saturday we went up to Logan to go fishing in Wellsville. They have this cute little park with a pond, the kids had a blast!
The ducks there are friendly and they had four little babies, they were SO cute!

Carter is 9 months and growing fast! He's got four little teeth already and is a busy little guy getting into everything and anything! He pulls him self up to things and says mama, dada, hey, and yeah (although I'm sure he doesn't know what they mean!) He is SOOO much fun and brings so much joy into my life, I fall in love with him more and more every day!!

Weber County Fair
On Saturday we headed over to the fair, every year the kids just LOVE to see all the different farm animals they have. (I'll admit I love it too)
A girl in our ward (Callie) had a pig that she auctioned off. So she let the kids get in the pen and pet and spray her!

It started to POUR when we were getting ready to leave. So we took cover and waited for it to stop and when we came out there was the prettiest rainbow I've ever seen.

It was tons of fun as always, later we went over to the Raptors baseball game for Ben's work party. I didn't bring my camera in and we really didn't stay too long the kids had enough of our fun filled day and wanted to go home. But as I sat there, in my 30 seconds of peace, and looked around to the mountains and buildings that surround the stadium. I thought to myself, I think that I take for granted that I've lived here all my life because Ogden really is a beautiful place to live! And as I grow older I hope that I appreciate it more!!

This is a really neat place and the kids all had tons of fun. I haven't been here since I took Logan when it was in the Ogden mall.
This is Carter's new face I'm not sure what it's all about but we all get a few giggles from it!
