Carter's scope

On the day that Ben got released from the hospital Carter had a throat scope at Primary Children's in Riverton. He did really well. And they found out he has bad acid reflux but that is good news considering all the other things it could have been.

Ben's pneumonia/sepsis scare

Sunday after we came home from Idaho for Grandma Moon's funeral. Ben got really sick. He had thrown up, was super achy, had a fever, and was clammy. I was really worried about him. By Monday night he was throwing up blood. So I ran him up to urgent care. The Doctor there knew something was wrong but wasn't sure what it was so he sent us to the ER. The ER Doctor said he had a bad stomach virus going around and ended up sending us home with some nausea medicine. The next morning he was super sweaty and had a fever. He ended up throwing up and I knew something was wrong. I took him back to the ER and after the longest two hour wait of my life. They brought us back, Ben's heart rate was really high and his oxygen level was low so they ordered a chest x-ray. The Doctor came back and told us that Ben had bacterial pneumonia  I was stunned but relieved that they figured out what was wrong. Because his vitals were not very good and his left lung was so bad they admitted him to the hospital. The next day Ben got much worse and we learned that it was because the infection had gotten into his blood. So he was fighting two infections, pneumonia and sepsis! It was the hardest day for me. Ben was really confused and in and out of it. And I felt like I could loose him. He spent four days in the hospital.  Every day he is getting better, a little at a time. The healing process is slow but at least his on the mend. I can't wait until I get my husband back. He is my rock and I don't think I knew how much I appreciated him until now. I love you honey, and if you can help it please don't ever scare me like that again!!!

Swimming and a funeral

Ben's sweet Grandma passed away while we were in Hawaii. So shortly after we got home we went to Idaho for her funeral. We were able to stay in a hotel with a pool and the kids had a great time! It was actually Brendan's first time swimming, and he LOVED it!

Coconuts

When we were in Hawaii we bought a coconut to open at home. The kids seriously thought it was the neatest thing ever!!!
And this little turd decided that he was going to walk when we were in Hawaii! Apparently, I might have held him a little too much!!!

Waikiki Beach

Next, we stayed at the Pacific Beach hotel at Waikiki Beach. It was beautiful as well, but much more busy and interesting!
 Another gorgeous sunset!

The next day Logan rented a surf board and me and Ben got some body boards. It was a lot of fun, but we were sure sore the next day!
The view from our hotel room

Our hotel had a neat aquarium in it.
I just loved these upside down flowers too!
They had a cool little burger joint right on the beach.

We called for a taxi for the airport and a limo showed up!! It made leaving this wonderful place a little easier.
We had an amazing time, and I can't wait until we are back!!!!

A drive around Oahu

On Ben's parents last day in Hawaii we drove around the island. It was stunning...I could totally live there! The north shore is just as beautiful and super laid back.

Ah, I already want to go back!!!

Temple and the Polynesian Cultural Center

The Hawaii temple and it's grounds were absolutely gorgeous!!!
 I love my boys!
 Those are some handsome men!

We spend an entire day at the PCC and it was amazing! They do a great job there, it is definitely a must see.

A yummy pina colada with my honey...and my day is complete!

Hanauma Bay

I loved this place! When we snorkeled we saw tons of colorful fish and the boys even saw a sea turtle ( I was so jealous)!

I seriously could have laid here for the rest of my life!

Ko Olani, Hawaii

We stayed at the Marriott Ko' Olani Resort. It had it's own little beach. I loved it there, it was so peaceful and fun!
Here is all of us after a snorkel.

 The resort. Isn't it beautiful

 They even had mermaids there.
On our last night here we ate at the yummy beach side grill.

The best part of dinner was the music and the most beautiful sunset!

I seriously did NOT want to leave this place. I had the time of my life, the only thing missing were my cute little kids!
