We took our annual trip to Bear Lake over the 4th. It was a blast!
Here is Brylee being her cute self and playing in the sand.

Brylee and her cousin Taylee on the hayride at the KOA.

Bosty boy making his sly face at the beach.

Here he is getting buried, I was surprised he would let Ben do it!

Carter and his adorable little dimple!

He loved the sand, and surprisingly he didn't even put it in his mouth!

Boston with his cousins Landon, McKay, and Carson on the train in the parade at the KOA.

They rode all around the campground throwing candy!

Boston and Bry swam really good this year in the pool. We got them some floaties and they LOVED them!

OuR FiReWoRk ShOw!
We lit our fireworks tonight since it's Logan's year with his Dad on the 4th.
Boston's face is priceless, for some reason he got scared lighting fireworks. We just went to West Haven's fireworks last weekend and was fine, so I don't know if they were a little too close or what.

Father's day fishing trip

Saturday Ben went fishing with his Dad and brother Nick up to the Deseret ponds. I know he had a ton of fun. He deserved to have a day to himself, he really works so hard for our family. And I was thankful he got to do something fun on Father's day weekend that I didn't have to think of........so thank you Kel!
I would also like to say that I am VERY thankful for all of the Father's in my life. First, my husband for being the best Father to our children and who is a great provider to our family. Second, to my Dad he is a hard worker and has a huge heart both of which he's instilled into me. Lastly my Father-in-law Kel, he always thinks of others and is such a great example us.

Carter's birth story ( 6 mo. late!)
I've never posted Carter's birth story and because I use this blog mostly for a journal I am going to post it now. So if you've heard it already just past this post by!
Labor started with Carter the night of the 13th, I had to go get Ben from the airport. He was flying home from working in Vegas. On the way down I was having regular contractions about every 7-8 min. They weren't getting worse but were consistent. We didn't get home until 11pm and even though I was pretty sure I was in labor I didn't want to get a babysitter that late at night. I figured if it got more intense it would wake me up and we would figure something out at that point. Well I ended up making it through the night and they were still consistent but not horrible. So we packed the kids bags and took them up to my sister Shauna's house. We went to eat at Bajio's for final meal and then walked vigorously around the hospital walkway to get them closer so they would keep me. When we got up to the hospital around 1:30pm I was dilated to a 4 and 80% effaced. I was 20 days early but I had Brylee and Boston 19 days early so the doctor decided to started me on pitocin. We got all set up in the room around 3pm and waited. Ben gave me a really special blessing and we could both feel the spirit there. Then we got to enjoy our pretty view and sunshine from our room. It always takes me a little bit to get past a 4 but when I go I go. They checked me at 6:45 and I was at a 5 so they were going to put in a cervical thing to check my contractions that way to see why I wasn't progressing. So they went to get it and 15 min later I was a 10! Crazy huh the nurse didn't believe it so she checked me too! I told you I go fast! By the time the doctor got there the baby started to have some stress so I started pushing and he came out after 5 pushes with the cord wrapped around his neck twice. That was why he was under stress and it REALLY scared us! While I was pushing it was pretty intense because everyone was really quite and were watching the monitors for stress. But I was SO glad to see my little boy healthy! He weighed 7lbs 8 0z and was 20 1/2 in long. He's 6 months now and I can't imagine not having him I love him so much!

Carter is 6 months!
Yesterday we had Carter's 6 mo checkup. Everything was great, minus the shots, of course. But I just can't believe how time has flown by. He already has two bottom teeth., he got those when he was 5 mo. He's all over the place into everything already, and will grab anything in your hands. He is such a handsome little guy and I just LOVE him to pieces!!!

For Memorial Day weekend we went camping. It was the day after we got home from our vacation so we were all tired. But we LOVE to camp so we were all excited to get up in the mountains for some fishing, smores, and relaxation!
Ben, Kel and Logan went fishing so we broke out the marshmallows for some smores!

After our trip to Canada we went to Conner to see my Dad.
My Dad and Carter. He hadn't seen him yet so it was kind of special.
The next day we drove up to Painted Rocks Reservoir and stopped for a picnic.

For our family vacation we went to Canada. Ben's cousin was getting married so it was a good excuse to get away.
The hotels in Alberta have water slides in them it's pretty cool. I wish the states would catch on. This the hotel in Lethbridge.

Carter's first pool experience!
Hotel in Brooks had a slide too. We all had so much fun in the pool!

Then we went over to Waterton park. It was really beautiful but a cold day!

The deer and mountain sheep would walk around in town, it was really neat. The kids liked to be so close to the animals.

Uncle Chris and Aunt Lani rented this cool bike for everyone.

I think this was Carlston Lake near Waterton. It was still completely ice, but it was actually warmer than town! The backside of this lake is the US too.
