Halibut, Kings, & Rainbows

Of course I'm talking about fish! In July Ben went to Alaska with his Dad and brother's for their 3rd annual trip to work on Kel's cabin. By the looks of these pictures I can tell it must of been a lot of work! Ben, Kel, Chris, Nick and I think his name is Dustin (not related) and their halibut.
This is the cabin they've been working on. It's just about done we just got some pictures yesterday of the carpet and cabinets, it's not much of a "cabin" it's beautiful!

Ben has also went fishing with his Dad a couple of times up to the Deseret Ponds, I'm pretty sure he's spoiled. And as most of you know I LOVE to fish so I'm still patiently waiting for my turn.......

My BoYs!

Look at these two cute boys! Boston is such a good big brother and Carter just loves all of his siblings, but I have a feeling these two are going to be best buddies! It's been really fun to have them all to myself when Brylee is at school. But Boston sure misses her though, he said to me today "lets go get sissy from school Mommy", and I said "do you miss her buddy" and he said "uh-huh!", how cute! I guess I'm not as entertaining but I of course already knew that!! Logan helped me can some blueberry jam. He's a great helper in the kitchen and will be a great husband one day! Logan is loving Jr. High and has already went to a volleyball game and a dance, of course he was way to shy to dance (thank goodness)!

my little preschooler

Today way Brylee's first day of preschool. She was SOOO excited! Here she is at her school.

She set her outfit and backpack out last night so it would be ready. And as you can see from pictures the shirt that she actually wore is different, that's Bry for ya!
I can't believe that she is old enough to go to school, it seems like yesterday that she was a baby. Last night Ben gave her a father's blessing, she felt pretty special. When she was getting ready for school this morning I asked her if she was nervous and she said "no, and because Daddy gave me a blessing I won't be shy". What a SWEET girl!!! And when we got to preschool she didn't hesitate to go in at all, and her teacher said she did really good. Oh Brylee I love you more than you will ever know, and I just know you'll do great! Love you!!

Labor Day Weekend

We went to soapstone to ride bikes all weekend and it was a BLAST! We all has sooo much fun this year. Here is all of us! The kids LOVED riding the 4-wheelers. Boston wore his helmet almost the whole time we were camping and if we took it away from him he threw a huge fit. Which is the reason for the not so cute face in the picture!
It rained Saturday afternoon but other than that it was nice. Here's our cozy little camp.

Warming up by the roasty fire.

Our kids just love their Uncle Nick!

Grandpa Pumkinhead and Aunt Kim coloring with Boston and Bry.

The kids trying to help blow up balloons so we could shoot targets. I just love their faces, you can tell they're giving it their all!

Trying to walk already. And teething as you can tell by the soaked t-shirt!

Kim did a really cool fire show. She had Nick put some copper and a garden hose in the fire and it turned the flame a bunch of different colors. The picture doesn't really do it justice.

What a ham!

This is my favorite place to camp and I wish we went there more. I look forward to this camp trip every year! Thanks Kel and Cheryl for letting us use your bikes!!!

salsa & pickles

This past week I've managed to accomplish quite a bit thanks to our media fast. I did a bunch of things that I had been meaning to do for a while and I even canned my first batch of salsa and pickles. This week our media fast has finally come to an end. We've all struggled with it at different times but we all realized how much time we spend watching tv and getting on the internet. It has also helped us to become even closer as a family. It's even inspired me to shut our cable off, I can't let go of the internet just yet! I actually really enjoyed knowing that my family's faces wouldn't be stuck in the tv or on the computer every night that we would get to hear about each others day. I did worry too about the kids being naughty because they were bored, and that they would complain about no tv. But they were SOOO good the whole week and got along better. I think it's a great idea to do this to get your family back on track and I will definitely do it again!
